I know a lot, maybe most of you, aren’t ready to think about Christmas yet. But the thing about bloggers is that in order to have decorating ideas and free Christmas printables and such to share with you, we have to start thinking about holidays pretty early. So I have started, but only just started, to think about how I’m going to decorate for Christmas this year. Since last year I’ve been feeling really drawn to this soft Christmas color palette that includes dark greens, blush pink, and bits of coral and mint. I think it’s a really nice contemporary interpretation of classic red and green, which I’ve always loved. To kind of kickstart my Christmas decorating I pulled out my watercolors and did some tinkering with those colors.
I’ve teamed up with some blogger friends to bring you a whole collection of free printables that you can use in your own Christmas decorating, including this “All is Merry and Bright” painting I came up with (scroll down for links to all of them). We did the same thing last year – you can see and still access all of those free Christmas printables here.
I haven’t actually started decorating yet but pulled together some elements I expect to use with this color palette this year – fresh greenery, black and white ribbon, brass, and mercury glass. I have to admit, this is getting me a little excited to start decking the halls!
This is the first year I’ve really deviated from a traditional Christmas color scheme and I’m hoping it all comes together like I’m envisioning. But I’m really getting excited to pull this all together and share it with you.
You can download and print my All is Merry and Bright painting by clicking here, or on the image below.
Also, be sure to check out all the free Christmas printables being offered and print out any that catch your eye. Why not, they’re free?!
