To be honest, I’m not feeling totally ready for fall. I just love summertime so much! But my girls are back at school and evening temperatures have a definite fall feel so there’s no denying that it’s coming. I’m trying to get into the fall spirit a little bit around the house and put together a fall mantle collection in the living room.
My jumping off point was a Cinderella pumpkin watercolor painting that I’m offering as a free printable – click HERE to print out your own version of it.
I kept things pretty neutral and focused on wood tones and natural elements.
I’ve gotten together with twenty-two other bloggers to bring you a huge collection of fall vignettes. The best part is that each one comes with a free fall printable that you can print out and use yourself at home.
You can print out the watercolor I used HERE and use the links below to check out the vignettes and printables from everyone else!

You are so sneaky with your watercolor-painting-talent Jen! I love the bright, almost summer-y colors of this painting… it is what caught my eye initially among the whole line up. Also you mantel skills are just mad. I’m sitting here looking and looking and just loving it all. You know just how to add the right amount of color, texture, sparkle, and number of items, so that it all feels cohesive and interesting but not too busy. I also love how it is pretty transitional into the season!

Jen, what a beautiful water color. I know exactly what you mean. I don’t want summer to end at all. I love the colors you used in the water color and all your styling on the mantel. I love how you mix neutral with sparkle. x

I LOOOVE this mantel. Very Fall, but in a light and fresh way! Please tell me this is a working woodburning fireplace, and then please tell me how and with WHAT paint you painted the inside of the firebox!! I have a beautiful fireplace but hate looking at the dirty black hole it is in the warmer months. But I really want to make sure it is still safe for burning wood and will not cause harmful fumes for my family.
Your whole vignette is just that much prettier bc the firebox is so neat and clean. Help!!:)
Thanks!
Melissa

It is a wood burning fireplace but I don’t know what it’s painted with. Sorry! We bought the house with them already like that. It does look awfully clean…though we’ve only used this side of the fireplace a handful of times over the past year and a half we’ve lived here. Never noticed any fumes when we do though so there must be something out there made for this purpose!

Thanks so much for the reply! Good to know you do actually use it and don’t notice any fumes. So you’re right, there must be a product–I’ll get to looking!
Love your blog. I’m a new fan:)
