I swear, sometimes Easter basket ideas are harder for me than Christmas and birthday gift ideas. Trying to find things small enough to tuck into a basket, things my kids will actually use and won’t be just another tiny knick knack for me to trip over in my bare feet. I’m a-ok with candy, I’m not one of those people who thinks sugar is the spawn of Satan, but my kids don’t eat a ton of it at home and I do try to stay away from artificial colors and flavors. I also try not to murder my budget on Easter basket items because, you know, it’s not second Christmas or anything around here.
All that said, here’s a roundup of 18 Easter basket ideas for adolescents. They can be a tricky group – not into kiddie toys anymore but not quite at the tween/teen stage yet either. I included a few organic candies that are super yummy (I sampled them all…in the name of research, of course). You’ll also find a few clothing items, some small age-appropriate toys, accessories they’ll actually wear/use, the water bottle that my kids are obsessed with, and a few other odds and ends. None of my Easter basket ideas are over $20, and most are well below, so you can fill those baskets without emptying your wallet.
