Well it seems basically hilarious to be talking about my spring home tour when a foot of snow fell here at my house yesterday but spring is coming nonetheless and just because there’s snow outside my door doesn’t mean I can’t start adding a little spring cheer indoors. I’ve joined with a big group of talented friends to bring you a whole slew of spring inspiration for decorating your home. An extra special thank you to Rachel from Shades of Blue Interiors for organizing the whole bunch of us and to Country Living Magazine for co-hosting the tour! Home Goods gave us all gift cards to use as a jumping off point for our spring decorating and if you’ve been following me for more than a minute you can probably guess that I was blissfully happy wandering the aisles of Home Goods looking for pretty somethings to bring home.
Today I’ll be showing you how I brought a little subtle spring into my entryway and family room. I focused things into three major trends for spring to help you narrow your own focus if you want to hit your local Home Goods aisles for some spring goodness.
White and Gold
White and gold are at home in every season but there is something so fresh and bright and clean about the pairing, it just seems to work extra well for spring when we all seem to be craving lightness. Below each photo I’ve added a list of the pieces found at Home Goods.

Faux Greenery
Another huge trend for spring is faux greenery. Home Goods has a killer selection this spring and I found a few faux palm fronds I added around the house and hung a simple spring wreath around my horse’s neck inside the front door.

Color
To be honest, I have to fight the impulse to add color everywhere. I’ve learned that pops of color can be more powerful that an abundance because your eye naturally goes to the colorful accents as opposed to skimming over a larger grouping of colorful pieces. I put together a very neutral base for my family room makeover and added touches of color with pillows, curtains, and books, which I grouped by color for added impact. The main punch of color in my entryway is my favorite pink rug.

I hope this spring home tour of a few of the rooms in my house here helps you narrow down some ways you can add a little spring into your home this year! Make sure you stop by to see how the other ladies on the tour brought some fresh air into their homes this spring as well.
