The decking of halls is in full force over here and I have been so excited to share some of my holiday decorations with you this year. Especially a certain flower tree that I’ve given some sneak peeks of on Instagram…but I’ll get to that in a minute…
I’m showing off my living room and dining room today as stop #12 in Jennifer Rizzo’s annual Holiday Housewalk tour, sponsored by Wayfair this year, and even though we’re only on day two of the Housewalk the beauty and inspiration level is absolutely off the charts already! I am so impressed and inspired by everyone’s holiday ideas. Make sure you take the whole tour, you will walk away with so many beautiful ideas for decorating your home this Christmas season. You can start at Jennifer Rizzo to see every house on the tour from the beginning. If you’re coming here from stop #11, Dear Lillie, I’m so glad you made it over! And if you haven’t been there yet, make sure you check them out by clicking the image below!
Let’s start my tour off in the living room, where I decided to bring some red back into my Christmas this year. Last year I didn’t use any red in my Christmas decorating and while I loved the rich coral with Christmas green, I did miss the cheerful traditionalism of red and added touches of it throughout the living room this year. I’ll try not to talk too much and let you sift through the photos in peace, but I will link to any items you can purchase below each photo. And I may call out a few times here and there :)

Okay I need to jump in for a moment to discuss this tree. I am obsessed with how the tree turned out. A couple weeks ago I showed you how to make paper flowers, including a free download of the pattern I used to make them. I couldn’t shake this idea of paper flowers trailing down the Christmas tree so I had some prints of the template made for me at Staples, some really big engineering prints and some just 8.5×11, and then I cut and glued paper flowers for an eternity (not really, but it did take a few hours), and then I added them to my new pre-lit faux Christmas tree from Wayfair and I loved it so much it was suddenly worth all that cutting and glueing. I totally adore how the flowers look like they’re cascading down the tree. I think it’s a really fun, kind of off the beaten path but not totally out there version of a classic Christmas tree. I added red and gold ball ornaments around the flowers and I think it is just perfectly whimsical and magical.

On the other side of the foyer from the living room is the dining room, where I added a few simple Christmas touches to the hutch, table and chairs. I’m totally hooked on Christmas village houses this year and added a few along the bottom of the hutch – they come with little LED lights built in and they are a steal. I’ve linked to them below the images.

Thank you so much for taking a peek inside my house this Christmas! There is more to come next week when I’ll be sharing how I decorated my mudroom, family room, entryway, and guest room for Christmas this year.
Make sure you continue the Holiday Housewalk tour tomorrow with stop #13, French Country Cottage. Courtney’s holiday style generally makes my mouth drop open with wonder and I’m sure this year will be no exception!
