Favorite Faux Fur Pieces

This has definitely been the winter of fur (faux, not real) for me. Scott gave me a fur infinity scarf for Christmas that I adore, my fur vest has been getting lots of action all fall and into the winter, and I added a down jacket with fur edged hood (sadly, no longer available) to my winter coat wardrobe. And good thing too because the temps here in New England have taken a major nosedive this week. School was delayed two hours yesterday morning because the wind chills were so low.

So with cold weather on the brain, it seemed the perfect time to round up some of my favorite fur pieces available this year.  And bonus, a lot of them are on sale now too!

A friend has been wearing this fur hood poncho (on sale now!) for the past few months and every time I see it I think what a great piece it is. Casual but a little glam and great for going over chunky or long sweaters. I always struggle with what to wear over big sweaters and this is just perfect for that kind of thing.

I really love the fur hood jacket I got this winter and wish it were still available to share with you. This jacket (on sale!) is similar though with the full fur-edged hood and it looks super warm too. Living in a cold winter climate, it’s a constant struggle to marry function and form, i.e. stay warm without looking like you’re wearing a sleeping bag.

If you’re looking for fur accessories that you can mix and match with your wardrobe to add the perfect luxe touch of texture and warmth, I have few favorites there too.

I’ve been a huge fan of this fur vest all season.  It’s such a versatile piece and I love how it instantly dresses up an otherwise casual look.

This scarf (on sale!) is similar to the one Scott got me for Christmas and, like the vest, is an easy way to dress up a plain t-shirt or sweater. It also comes in a darker color.

When you want to keep your ears warm but don’t want to crush your hair, earmuffs are the perfect solution.  How darling are these ones (on sale!) with the braided band?

I often wear a fleece-lined pair of mittens for everyday running around and standing outside waiting for the bus, but these are a gorgeous pair of gloves (also on sale!) for when you’re getting more dressed up.  Or, heck, any day you want a little extra oomph around your wrist!
