Yesterday I shared with you the height of decadence – a scrumptious tart made by layering salted almonds, dark chocolate, and caramel on top of a buttery cookie-like crust. And today I’m back with another dessert, but I have some excellent news – this one is healthy!
This creamy panna cotta flecked with orange zest and vanilla bean tastes like another indulgence but it’s made entirely with Greek yogurt, 2% milk, and only a little sugar (a little over a tablespoon per serving). Topped with fresh berries you get a healthy dose of calcium and a good shot of vitamins and antioxidants. It tastes remarkably like a Creamsicle for something so healthy.
Apparently I’m all about helping old-school treats climb the culinary ranks lately – Twix bars, Creamsicles…what next?
