The powder room in our house was the very first room I tackled when we moved in a little over a year ago. You can see the first round of updates I made to it HERE, and a few tweaks I made just afterwards HERE. Now it’s been just about a year since that last post and I’ve made a few new changes I wanted to share with you. I’m now 100% happy with this room and have zero plans to change anything in here!
The biggest change I made was replacing the original, builder-grade, leaking faucet with a lovely new fixture – Delta’s Cassidy Centerset Faucet in champagne bronze.
I’m such a fan of the champagne bronze color, it’s gold but muted, and has a lovely brushed finish. You might recall that I have one of Delta’s champagne bronze faucets in my kitchen as well. I love the finish pretty much anywhere.
Home Goods/TJ Maxx/Marshalls are my favorite spots to pick up affordable little accents. I found the pink soap there. It smells so good – cedar and fig.
I got the little succulent garden at Whole Foods and am hoping very much that it can survive me and my terrible track record with houseplants.
The towel ring is also a Delta piece – the Lahara towel ring. The towel was a clearance find at Marshalls.
I wanted to keep any wall decor in this room very simple so as not to distract from the wallpaper (Indira Damson). I bought the candle sconce years ago from Pottery Barn and found the gold pineapple print more recently at Marshalls.
The new faucet was the big finishing touch for me, but all the little accents are what add up to this room really feeling “finished” to me finally. Here’s a look at the full before and after.
As much as I love to tweak and freshen around my house, I love the feeling of stepping away from space and thinking, “Yes! Done.” I’m so happy with this littlest room in our house :)
I was sent bath fixtures from Westside Wholesale. All ideas and opinions expressed are my own and are sincere.
ooooh so good! love that faucet!!! what a difference!
Thanks, Cassie! That faucet really finished things off for me – the old one was so bad!
Love this bathroom! I don’t think I’ve seen it before! The wallpaper is so amazing!!
Thanks, Emily! I go at a snail’s pace from beginning to true end of a project :) Not always a bad thing because I can settle into the use of a space but it takes me forever to post “reveal” pics!
So good. You know how I feel about the champagne bronze. It’s the perfect addition to your bathroom as well. Love these detailed shots of your bathroom too. That wallpaper is amazing!
I want to put champagne bronze EVERYWHERE.
This is too good! Loving that glossy black mirror against the colorful wallpaper.

Thanks, Stephanie! The mirror was the very first thing I bought for the room and everything else kind of trickled out from there.
What a spectacular makeover. I just love all the color combos!! The new faucet is absolutely beautiful!!
Thanks, Katja! I thought for sure my husband would not love the pink bird wallpaper but he’s just as happy with the finished room as I am :)
Gah… the before/ after is too good to be true!! That wallpaper still tears at my heart. Love it.
Seriously, me too, I love the wallpaper so much. A good sign that is still has me after a year!
Such a major transformation when you look back a the before. I love that pineapple print too :)
This bathroom was the SADDEST room a year ago! Now it just makes me pure happy :)
Stunning! You’ve really made a huge difference ~ and I love all the unique touches. The wallpaper is amazing, love the mirror, all of it!
Thank you, Pat! I really love this room, and love that it’s one we use and can appreciate every day ;)
Oh, the wonderful feeling of stepping away and knowing it is complete! I think the finishing touches are the hardest for me. It’s the personal decisions that bring your personality into a room and while they can’t be rushed, I find I put them off for too long and end up wanting to change things again in hopes of achieving “the look.” Your bathroom is lovely and a fun expression of your style.
Thank you! I always struggle against wanting to rush to the finish, even though I know I like rooms that come together over time. It’s so hard to be patient and have half-finished spaces all around you!
I just NEVER get enough of this room Jen. Its perfect. Just perfect! Oh and also i looove the basket;)
Oh my gosh, yes, me too with the basket! Scott’s aunt gave it to us at Christmas one year. So pretty – handmade…somewhere :/ I know remember anymore!
Not sure how I initially missed this, but I am pretty sure you have the most magical bathroom on the internet. :) That paper is fabulous, consider me jealous!
How do you not have this wallpaper in your life actually?!
